Reasons Popup Keeps Displaying Irrespective Of Processing Constraint Setup (Doc ID 2653196.1)

Last updated on MARCH 31, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 12.2.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.8 version, Trx Changes & Cancellations

For example:

Processing constraint is setup in such a way that, when request date of a sales order line is changed to a value between order creation date and order creation date+10, then reasons block must pop out and prompt the user to enter a reason to save

Upon changing request date for a sales order line, between order creation date and order creation date+10, i.e. when the processing constraint validation is successful,  reasons block pops out and prompts the user to enter a reason. If user presses Exit button without providing any reason then system closes the popup.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
==================
Upon changing request date for a sales order line, to a value, for which above setup processing constraint validation is failed (say order creation date+20), reasons pop up keeps on getting displayed

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
=====================
Reasons popup should not get displayed, when processing constraint validation is failed, when changing the request date for a sales order line ( For example when user attempts to change the request date to (say order creation date+20)

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Oracle Applications
2. Go to Responsibility - Order Management Super User - Orders,Returns- Sales Order
3. Query up sales order and navigate to the order line
4. Update Request Date ( in such a way that above created processing constraint validation is failed) and presses SAVE button.
