Symptoms

Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise could not establish connection email 365.

When submitting a job with email using TLS protocol, it fails with the following error:

 

ERROR

Delivery failed.
[INSTANCE_ID=bip.bi_server1] [OUTPUT_ID=1002]
Document processing is successful
[INSTANCE_ID=bip.bi_server1]
[INSTANCE_ID=bip.bi_server1]

 

The server log file does not reflect the error above.

Instead the error in the managed server log shows:
