Symptoms

Problem Statement:

When attempting to define a business group where the security group feature is enabled, following error occurs.

ORA-00001: unique constraint (APPLSYS.FND_SECURITY_GROUPS_TL_U2) violated has been detected in FND_SECURITY_API.CREATE_GROUP.

 

 

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Login as HRMS Manager responsibility.

  2.  Rename the existing business group.
     e.g.
     Old Name: XXBG
     New Name: XXBG_OBSOLETE

  3.  Create a new business group with the original name.
     e.g.
     name: XXBG

  4. Error occurs when entering Business Group Info. (e.g.Short Name, KFF, Legislation Code, Currency...etc) and save.
