APP-FND-1710 Date Range Error Occurs When Creating A Document Sequence (Doc ID 265899.1)

FNDSNASQ - Assign Document Sequences


After creating a document sequence, a user cannot change its start date, the user must end-date the current sequence and create a new one. But we he creates a new one with an earlier start date the following error occurs:
APP-FND-1710: The date range overlaps with other assignments for this flexfields.

There can only be one active assignment record for a given date. You hanvattempted to enter dates that overlap with and existing assignment record for this Document Flexfield.

Action: Query up the existing assignmemts for ths Document Flexfield and review their dates. Then enter this new record so the date ranges do not overlap

Steps to reproduce:
1- Login under Sysadmin Administrator responsibility
2- Navigate to Document > Define
3- Create a Document Sequence
4- Enter a Start Date e.g. 01-JAN-2004
5- Save
6- Navigate to Document > Category
7- Create a Category
8- Navigate to Document > Assign
9- Enter a Start Date e.g. 16-MAR-2004
10- Attachd sequence created in step 3
11- Save
12- End-date the Document Assignment
13- Save
14- Create a New Document Assignment, with start date as step 4, in this case 01-JAN-2004, use the sequence created in step 3
16- Save
17- Error occurs. Then enter this new record so the date ranges do not overlap
