Symptoms
Images and Signatures are not showing when printing checks.
If a direct call to the image via a browser is tried the image comes up successfully.

yet when tried from within a template

the debug log shows
java.net.UnknownHostException: machine
Failed to load the image: https://machine:port/OA_MEDIA/filename.png
Changes
The topology of the network was changed, now there is an SSL load balancer that balances between the other servers.
