UPK: Error When Logging Into Knowledge Center Using HTTPS "Login Invalid. Please verify your Username and Password"

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to login to Knowledge Center using https, the following error occurs.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Launch Knowledge Center directly on the Windows server and enter the https URL (ie. https://<hostname>/KCenter)
2. Enter ID/password
3. See error message displayed
