File Server Needs To Be Re-Initialized Error When Database Id Profile Is Used (Doc ID 266329.1)

Symptoms

 After implementing 11i with RAC, you have set profile option Database Id equal to a specific database instance at the responsibility level to bind users for load-balancing.

When trying to view report and output files with the internal viewer (FNDCPVWR.fmb), encounter the following errors:

File server could not verify its initialization parameters
File server needs to be re-initialized

Setting MAX_COMMIT_PROPAGATION_DELAY and APPLFSTT do not resolve the error message.

Changes

 Set profile option Database Id equal to a specific database instance to bind users of a responsibility for performance and scalability.
