Two related workflow errors can occur after upgrading to 11i.AR.L or 11i.AR.M (Family Pack D or E)

PROBLEM 1

Workflow notification shown below is received by the system administrator

An Error occurred in the following Event Subscription: Event Subscription Event Error Name: -979
Event Error Message: ORA-00979: not a GROUP BY expression
Event Error Stack:

PROBLEM 2

After applying patch 3319173 to fix problem 1, when running the Autoinvoice job the following notification is sent to sysadmin:
