Symptoms

On : 12.2.9 version, Auction/RFx creation

On submitting award for approval in Sourcing user are getting a notification with Award approval is automatically rejected with the below error


ERROR

Note to Buyer The award recommendation is automatically rejected due to an error in Oracle Approvals Management. Please contact the OAM Administrator.

Please go to Award Summary page to view the rejected award recommendation.

Workflow error:

CHARACTER STRING BUFFER TOO SMALL

AWARD_APPROVAL/PROCESS_APPROVER_RESPONSE      COMPLETE OAM_API_ERROR



STEPS TO REPLICATE

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. From sourcing responsibility
2. submit Award for approval
3. User gets a notification the award not approved
