R12: AP: A Custom Line Description Is Not Visible In The LOV From A Custom Journal Line Type (Doc ID 2677051.1)

Symptoms

 A new Subledger Accounting Method having custom Journal Line Definition and Journal Line Type for Application: Payables and Event Class: Invoices in order to set-up the custom Journal Line Type for Liability with a custom Line Description set-up with the following Details:

Steps to create a new Line Description:

 

  1. Go to a Payables responsibility - Setup - Accounting Setups - Subledger Accounting Setup - Accounting Methods Builder - Journal Entry Setups - Journal Entry Descriptions;
  2. Click on New;
  3. Enter these values:

         4. Under section Priorities, add these lines:

While updating the Journal Line Type for Liability with the custom Line Description, the custom Line Description doesn't appear in the List of Values (LOV).

Only the seeded are in the LOV:

Invoice Distribution (Oracle)
Invoice Distribution Description (Oracle)
Invoice Header Description (Oracle)
