HTML Contact Center: Error "Item - Select a valid value." While Creating Service Request (Doc ID 2677111.1)

Symptoms

HTML Contact Center: Item field is showing an error message while creating Service Requests.

Steps:

HTML Contact center
 - Service Request Section
 - Click on Create Service Request button

Error:

Item - Select a valid value.

Notes:

  - Issue does not occur with all Items, but user might not be able to identify a pattern.
  - When an Item fails, it also fails when navigating from Customer Support Specialist > Agent Dashboard > Create SR
  - Even after nullifying the Serial Number, the save fails pointing to the Item.

What is Working:

When the Item is selected from the LOV, instead of being auto-populated after the Serial Number is selected, the issue does NOT occur.
The SR can be saved without problems.
