Query of Account Contacts Shows Both Active and Inactive Records

Symptoms
When trying to query particular Contact Role records from Account Contacts, the system returns both Active and Inactive records. The selection of both Inactive and Active records occurs although only Active is selected from the Status LOV.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE ================== * Precondition: there are both Active and Inactive Account Contact records.
Open Customer window and query the existing customer.
Open Account Details
Open Communication TAB
Set search criteria. - Status : Active - Show Contacts : Bill To
Click on 'GO' button
Both Active and Inactive records displayed even though the Status "Active" is selected.
