Wrong Action History Performer If Purchase Order Approver First 'Request More Information' Then 'Reject' Purchase Order Using 'NOTIFICATION FROM ME' (Doc ID 2682290.1)

Last updated on MARCH 15, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Purchasing - Version 12.2.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.7 version, Approvals - Req, PO

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When approver B received standard purchase order approval notification in worklist, open notification > click (B)Request Information for sending notification back to submitter A, then WITHOUT waiting corresponding requested information replied from submitter A, and approver B perform 'Reject' action on this notification via View 'Notifications from me'.
Re-check Approval Sequence, find Reject action is performed by submitter A, however Reject action is actually performed by approver B.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
In worklist notification, PO approval notification Reject action performer is able to be displayed with the right one - Approver B instead of submitter A.
e.g. if approver B perform the reject action, approval sequence should display Reject is performed by approver B.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Submitter A create standard purchase order and submit for approval.
2. Approver B receives Approval Notification
3. Open worklist notification > click (B)Request Information and send notification back to submitter A.
4. At this time, WITHOUT waiting response from submitter A.
Approver B re-navigate to worklist > Nofication from me > reopen this notification > and click Reject
5. Then back to check PO Approval Sequence action history, found Reject action is performed by submitter A which is wrong.
Reject action is actually performed by approver B.
Approval Sequence action history should display the correct action performer as approver B.
