AGIS: Data Entry is Allowed for Closed Period Before Throwing Error: The Intercompany Period is not open or not valid (Doc ID 2684541.1)

Last updated on JULY 07, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

If the period is closed in AGIS, the system validates this and throws error only after all the details for the transaction are entered. Expectation would be that the system would not allow data entry for a closed period, just to fail on attempting to submit the transaction.

The error message is good and it is thrown fine, just too late, allowing the user to spend a lot of time entering transactions just to find out these cannot be submitted.

The request is to have this message thrown right after the date is selected to save data entry time

The Intercompany Period is not open or not valid
