Unable to Capitalize Work-in-Process(WIP)/Inventory Burden Costs Since Project Type Is Set As Cost Type = Raw (Doc ID 2685856.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 10, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Project Costing - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Burden costs were entered in Cost Management/Work-in-Process(WIP)/Inventory. The quantity and raw cost were not transferred to Projects, but only the burden costs were transferred to Projects. The
quantity and raw cost appear as null/zero in Projects, but should be populated with non null/zero values. As a result of the quantity and raw cost being null/zero, the PRC: Generate Asset Lines did not pick
up the burden costs.  The project type is set with Cost Type=Raw (located under the Capitalization Information tab of the Project Type).
