Would like to know why unwanted names or non duplicate records are shown as potential duplicates the LOV. Example below case.

Enter a new employee with the following details
Middle Name = XXXX
Last Name = YYYY

When trying to save the record, the system prompts for potential duplicate people, many of the potential duplicates have different Middle name and we would like to know why they are shown as potential duplicates.
