Information in this document applies to any platform.
In addition, as of Version 184.108.40.206 (April 2021), the Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager UI was enhanced to facilitate choosing the time zone for resources created during key operations.
This note was written to address an issue resulting from Cloud Manager use prior to 220.127.116.11.
After provisioning an EBS environment by using EBS Cloud Manager versions prior to 18.104.22.168, the timezone in the operating system (OS) of the apps and database nodes is set to UTC.
The timezone of the database server and the application server must be the same in the Oracle E-Business Suite environment.
The timezones for the database and application server are derived from the OS timezone.
For this reason, the timezone of the operating systems for the database and application tiers must be the same.
In addition, they should be the same as the corporate time zone.
The steps to update the timezone for the servers are provided in this note.
This note should only be followed as a post provisioning step for EBS environments created via EBS Cloud Manager.
This note is not intended to be used to change the timezone of an existing EBS environment.
