Symptoms

When attempting to create a new element for a Quality Plan, the following error occurs.

ERROR

'Please enter the required value for the Item segment in the System Items flexfield'


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility = Quality (QA)
2. Navigation = Setup->Collection Elements
3. Create a collection element
