Symptoms

On : 12.2.6 version, IAS for Applications Technology

When attempting to login DMZ front end
the following error occurs.

ERROR

oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Application: FND, Message Name: FND_GENERIC_MESSAGE. Tokens: MESSAGE = java.lang.NullPointerException;
at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException.wrapperException(OAException.java:912)

at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageBean.preparePage(OAPageBean.java:2431)

at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageBean.preparePage(OAPageBean.java:474)
at _pages.__oa._jspService(__oa.java:233)

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Access DMZ url
2. Enter user credentials and click login

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot login into DMZ node front end.
