Last updated on AUGUST 31, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Property Manager - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When a lease is created with future commencement date, booking event is created in with the future date. But when rent increase is created for same lease with future commencement date, the transactions are created with
current system date.

For e.g.

Execution date           - 11th Jun 20
Commencement date - 1st Aug 20
Termination date        - 31st Jul 25

Booking  transaction date 1st Aug 20

Rent Increase
Commencement date - 1st Aug 20
Termination date        - 31st Jul 25

Revision transaction date - 12th Jun 2020 (system date of the transaction)

Expect the revision date to be same as booking date when the lease is finalized with future commencement date.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

PN > Lease and Document > Main Lease > Lease and Document > Enter Lease and Document

Create and finalize a lease with future commencement date. Transfer normalized lines to GL program and Create Accounting. Booking events will be created with the future transaction date.

PN > Lease and Document > Main Lease > Lease and Document >  Rent Increase > Enter Rent Increase

Create a rent increase for the lease, approve and run Create Accounting.

Note the revision event is created in the current period.
