Simulator No Longer Sees Quality Result After Lot is Moved (Doc ID 2706950.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 02, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Product Development - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On : 12.2.6 version, Quality Management Samples and Simulator Technical Parameter Values

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Customer has a technical parameter for FAT%, which is tied to a Quality test. They receive a Lot and a quality sample is automatically created based on a spec and spec validity rule (Inventory spec validity rule). The sample includes subinventory and locator. They enter results, and in the Simulator the result value is shown correctly for the tech parameter value. So far so good. Then they move the lot to a different locator in the same subinventory. Now the Simulator shows the spec target value as the tech parameter value instead of showing the actual result. It no longer finds/uses the result value.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect the actual result for the lot to continue to be used as the technical parameter value on the Simulator

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, this results in the ice cream being too fatty a) which costs more to
make and b) potentially results in the mix produced being out-of-spec.
