ORA-06502: buffer too small in Package QP_Validate_pll_pricing_attr Procedure Entity

Symptoms

When one tries to enter an Item category on a price list line, the below error is shown.

Note: Issue may also occur while updating a price list line or attempting to add a new price list line,
         if the price list already has a price list line for item category.



ERROR
Price list setup form shows error:

ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric value or Value error: character string
buffer too small in Package QP_Validate_pll_pricing_attr Procedure Entity

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Oracle Pricing Super User responsibility
2. Price Lists > Price list Setup
3. Query the Price List
4. Navigate to List Lines > Select product attribute as Item Category, Issue arises.
