After Replacing Oracle HTTP Server By OCI Load Balancer Being Redirected to Bad URL (Doc ID 2717291.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 08, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle iSupplier Portal - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.1.3 version, Advanced Configurations

Oracle HTTP Server that served as a Reverse Proxy for iSupplier Portal running in a configuration as described in <Note 380490.1> section 5.9 (Using reverse proxy with No External Web Tier) was replaced by OCI Load balancer.

The old config was:
ProxyPass /OA_HTML http://someserver.dns:8001/OA_HTML
ProxyPassReverse /OA_HTML http://someserver.intern.dns:8001/OA_HTML

The new configuration is just forwarding to someserver.intern.dns:8001 as the backend set. In both scenarios the HTTPS was terminated on the Oracle HTTP Server and the Load Balancer and not in the EBS itself.

Most functions of iSupplier Portal still work, however if in a wf notification on a PO requiring acceptance an external users clicks accept he is redirected to a bad url.

This is preventing users to respond to WF Notifications.

Acceptance of WF Notifications for PO should not redirect to bad URL.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to EBS notification for PO acceptance
2. Respond to the notification and are routed to Bad URL
