Reverse Termination Cases Are Not Picked in Retropay (Enhanced) (Doc ID 2720948.1)

Last updated on JUNE 14, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Payroll - Version 12.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Configured "Retropay (Enhanced)" for the first time. All scenario's are working fine except the below future dated reverse termination case.

Earlier Users were using old Retropay (Retropay by Element)

Scenario :

1) Housing Allowance Element :

User pays employees Housing Allowance Element for the next Month in the Current Pay Period. In case if there is any future termination in the Next Month.. Those prorated value will be paid in current Pay Period.

2) For Example

Employee : 1234

Current Pay Period : July 2020

Employee has a Termination Date as  : 15 Aug 2020

3) When a payroll process is run for the employee on July , only 50% of HRA will be paid. This is working as their expectation.

4) Issue is, when they do reverse termination after July Pay Period . And then Run Retro Enhanced as on 31 Aug 2020, this employee is not considered .

Research : Retropay by Element is working fine in this scenario. PAY_PROCESS_EVENTS has details for the employee on Reverse Termination

Workaround : When the same employee is added manually and then run the Retropay Enhanced, it process and provides results.
