*AR Invoice Is Split Wrongly By Golden Tax - Receivables Transfer To GTA (Doc ID 2723056.1)

Last updated on MARCH 11, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Receivables - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

AR invoice is split wrongly by Golden Tax concurrent program (Receivables Transfer to Golden tax adaptor) when the invoice has inclusive tax, for some ranges of amounts.

In such cases, tax on tax is calculated so at the end the system, in order to correct the tax, it calculates negative tax. Negative amounts for tax raise suspicions from the IRS, the company needs to explain why tax is decreased and can be penalized due to wrong tax reporting.

An example of the calculation and what can be seen in the fnd log, as explained in the bug,  is the following:

ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions x l_split_amount:1000000
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions l_split_discount_amount:0
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions l_split_dis_rate:0
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions l_quantity_limit:.90909091
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions l_unit_price_limit:0
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions x l_split_tax_amount:130000
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions l_split_distax_amount:0
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions l_split_currency_amount:1000000
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions l_remain_amount:99999.99743363
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions l_remain_discount_amount:
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions l_remain_quantity:.09090909
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions l_remain_unit_price:
ar.plsql.AR_GTA_SPLIT_TRX_PROCSplit_Transactions x l_remain_tax_amount:-3451.33
- the invoice in AR has one line , qty=1, unit price=1100000, line=973451.33, tax=126548.67

- when spliting at 1 million and calculating tax 13%, in fact it calculates tax on tax: (1000000-973451.33)*0.13 = 3451.32 - this is the amount a bit upper
