EXP Date In LOT Screen Is Getting Updated Incorretly On Running Receiving Transaction Processor (Doc ID 2737137.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 29, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Lot Expiration date is recalculated wrongly when a new receipt is made on previously received lot.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect system to respect the user updated expiration date when receiving the same lot again.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Receive a lot - expiration date is calculated as per shelf life on the item - correctly.
2. User updates the expiration date to an earlier date (on the Lots form) due to business needs.
3. Receive the same lot again (using MSCA) - because Supplier sends the same lot - now the expiration date is updated - to some value which does not match shelf life calculations nor the date as updated by user.
4. Expect system to respect the user updated expiration date.
