Symptoms

--ISSUE DESCRIPTION--

When adding a component into an assembly using the Change Order form, and the the items key flexfield is enabled with multiple segments, the following error occurs in the form while adding an ATO component:

--ERROR--
APP-FND-00971: The flexfield on this field has been called incorrectly. Inform your support representative that the WHERE_CLAUSE argument in the flexfield definition exceeds its maximum length of 1950 bytes. The error is either in the form on in a server-side package that calls the flexfield validation routine.

--STEPS TO REPRODUCE--
1. Navigate to Engineering > Change Orders
2. Create a new Change Order
3. Enter the revised items/pick an assembly
4. Add an ATO component to the assembly in the change order
5. See the error in the screen
