Unable De-activate Assets After Cancelling Work Orders and Work Requests (Doc ID 2739880.1)

When attempting to deactivate an asset for which work request and work order have been cancelled, the following error occurs.


You cannot deactivate an asset for which there are open work requests or service request or work orders.


As part of new functionality in 12.2.9, there was a new feature which cancels the work requests when a work order gets cancelled. The functionality was implemented by enabling the Profile "EAM: Work Request Cancel Options" set to Cancelled.
Once work order was cancelled, in turn, the work request was cancelled as expected. But when trying to de-activate the asset the above error occurs, This is not expected.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Set the profile option 'EAM: Work Request Cancel Options' to Site = Cancelled.
2. Created a Work Request for an Asset.
3. Create a Work order from the above Work Request.
4. Cancel the Work Order.
5. Work Request also gets cancelled as per the Profile option setup shown above.
6. The Asset doesn’t have any open Work Order and Work Requests.
7. Try De-activating the asset.
8. Receive the aforementioned error.
