Symptoms

When attempting to update a supplier bank account from the United Kingdom the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
1. CE_VALIDATE_BANKINFO.upd_account_validate procedure raised unhandled exception &EVENT.
2. ORA-06502 PL/SQL: numerical or value error: character string buffer too small in Package IBY_EXT_BANKACCT_PUB Procedure IBY_EXT_BANKACCT_PUB.update_ext_bank_acct

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1.  Go to Supplier -> Entry
2.  Query the supplier
3.  Click on the banking information tab
4.  Click to edit the bank account
5.  Update the bank account name (or any other field)
6.  Click to save
