R12: OIE: Error Received On General Information Section When Entering An Expense Report (Doc ID 2741368.1)

Symptoms

While the user is trying to create a new Expense Report, after inserting the details related to the expense report (Employee Name, Department..) on section 'General Information', for <Department: 5102> the following error appears after the 'Next' button:

- The referring page may have come from a previous session. Please select Home to proceed.

 

The debug information from Diagnostics link > Show Log on Screen > Go is showing:

 

 

The id for Value=5102 is FLEX_VALUE, ValueId=33427 is FLEX_VALUE_ID and ValueSetId=1008504 is FLEX_VALUE_SET_ID from FND_FLEX_VALUES and FND_FLEX_VALUES_TL tables.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Go to Internet Expenses responsibility


- Expenses

- Expenses Home

- Create Expense Report



2. Under section 'Update Expense Report: General Information insert the details:

Name: XXXXX, YYYYYY (123456)
DEPARTMENT: 5102



3. Click the 'Next' button:

This issue is happening for the employee which is having the default expense account with segment for 'Department' equal with value '5102'.
