In EBS 12.2.10 Environment,

When changing a user's password in E-Business Suite (EBS), it generates the following error message:

FRM-40735: WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-29261

Another error you might encounter displayed on the screen when attempting a password change in the Users form is the following:

Oracle error -29261: ORA-29261: bad argument has been detected in FND_WEB_SEC_VALIDATE_PASSWORD

Steps to Reproduce

The issue can be reproduced by doing the following:

Responsibility = System Administrator

Navigate to Security: User Define

Query a user and attempt to change the user's password

Upgrade to EBS 12.2.10 / RDBMS 19.8.0.0.0
