Last updated on OCTOBER 12, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Warehouse Management - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.5 version, Label Printing

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Have never used the standard business flows or label rules when generating shipping content labels due to the rules in use.
Instead have called seeded inv_label.print_label_manual_wrap API.
Furthermore, using the MWA label request function as well.
Under normal circumstances printing these labels is not an issue.

The only time there is are issues is in the following scenario:

1. Ship confirm a single lot on a single LPN for a sales order.
   a. This shipping label generates without issues.
2. Then return that single lot and single LPN via an RMA and receive it back in.
3. Then generate a new sales order to ship that same lot and LPN.
4. Ship confirm the same lot and LPN.
   a. The shipping label now doubles the weight and the quantity on the label.
It appears it combines this with the previous shipment’s weight and quantity.
   b. Have the further issue of some SQL defined fields returning null in this situation, but that is only because of missing information in the label request due to problems pointed out.
