Symptoms

On : 12.2.7 version, Desktop Rcv/Returns/Correction

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
PO Confirm Receipt Notifications are sent without validating new Need By Date OR the Cancel / Closed status on PO

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect Confirm Receipt to consider the new Need By Date OR the Cancel / Closed status on PO

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps for the two different scenarios:  Need By Date and Closed / Canceled Status

NEED BY DATE

1. PO is Approved on 1st Jan ’21 having Need By Date as 31st Jan ‘21
2. PO Confirm Receipt Notification is sent to Requestor on 1st Feb ’21 upon that day’s schedule (This program scheduled to run every night)
3. Requestor see this notification and raising a change request to update the Need-By Date to 31st Mar ‘21 and this change process is getting completed/Approved and the Need By Date on the PO has been updated to 31st Mar ’21.
4. Requestor coming back to Notification and clicking on ‘Not Received’ button.
5. Notification is sent to Buyer saying ‘Requestor XXXXXX Has Not Received Items on Order XXXXXX’ with “31st Jan ’21” (Old Need-By Date). Ideally, this should have taken 31st Mar ’21 (New Need By Date).
6. Buyers are clicking on ‘Re-Notify Requester’ assuming Requester has missed to action on it by mistake. So. this is again notified to Requestor.
Note: This is where the problem arises.  The system should be considering the new Need-By Date
7. Requestor receiving this notification even after changing the Need-By Date to future in above step 3. Since Requestor has already changed the Need By Date, he is again clicking on ‘Not Received’ button and it again notifies to Buyer.

CLOSED /CANCELED PO STATUS

1. PO is Approved on 1st Jan ’21 having Need By Date as 31st Jan ‘21
2. PO Confirm Receipt Notification is sent to Requestor on 1st Feb ’21 upon that day’s schedule
3. Requestor see this notification and contacting Buyer to Close/Cancel the PO.
4. Buyer Close/Cancel the PO
5. Requestor coming back to Notification and clicking on ‘Not Received’ button.
6. Notification is sent to Buyer saying ‘Requestor XXXXXX Has Not Received Items on Order XXXXXX’. This is where the problem arises.
7. Buyers are clicking on ‘Re-Notify Requester’ assuming Requester has missed to action on it by mistake. So. this is again notified to Requestor.
Note:  This is where the problem arises. The system should not consider the Closed/Cancelled PO but it is again sending this Notification to Requestor without validating the PO status (Closed/Cancelled)
8. Requestor receiving this notification even after the PO is Closed/Cancelled in above step 3. Since Requestor has already closed/cancelled the PO, he is again clicking on ‘Not Received’ button and it again notifies to Buyer.
