GLXJEENT: Find Batch Fails for A Batch with No Journals Associated Error: No Record Found or FRM-40350 (Doc ID 275992.1)

Symptoms

When a batch name is created without associated journal entries and saved, the batch cannot be found using the Journal Entry Find Journals window.  A No Record Found or FRM-40350 Query Caused No Records To Be Retrieved error is returned.
or FRM-40301: Query caused no records to be retrieved.

 

1.The Batch appears in the Post Journals form
2.The Batch has no underlying journals
3.Cannot find batch on Journals Enter form
4. Cannot delete batch on Journal Enter form
5. Batch is grayed out on the Journals Post form
6. Batch is not postable
7. No values in Debit, Credit or Control Total fields
8. The batch header has no underlying journal therefore the initial query popup box (Find Journals) on the Journals Enter form cannot be used.

 
 

Trying to re-create the same batch name results in the error, the same name is used in the same period.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a batch with a name and period.
2. Do not enter journal entries.
3. Save and exit the form.
4. Re-enter the form and try to retrieve the batch using the Find Journals window.
