R12.2 After Upgrade Cannot Change SYSADMIN Password When Signon Password No Reuse Is Set (Doc ID 2761162.1)

Symptoms

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Upgrade EBS to R12.2

2. Run FNDCPASS to change SYSADMIN password

Error occurs, 

FRM-40735 WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-29261

or 'Unable to change the password for fnd_user SYSADMIN'

or 'PASSWORD_INVALID'


Issue occurs under following conditions,

  - Advance-Hash mode active ( SHA256, SHA384 or SHA512)
  - only for SYSADMIN
  - when profile Signon Password No Reuse is set
  - with AFSCJAV8.pls at version 120.18.12020000.62
 

Changes

 Upgrade to R12.2
