In Quality when Security is used the Child Plan is not restricted from users. (Doc ID 2762141.1)

Last updated on MARCH 24, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Quality - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.6 version, Patch Application Issues

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

In Quality when setting up Security for users there are Internal User and External Users. The Internal Users and and External users have the same Quality Collection Plan Security setups for the parent quality plan.

The Users have a different security set up for the Child plan where Internal Users can access child plan but External users do not.  After the <patch 31250439> even though Internal users can access the parent plan and child Plan,

External users can also access both parent and child plans which is incorrect.  This was working with fine before patch where External users users were restricted from Child batch

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Quality Collection Plan Security setups for the External users should be restrictive to only the parent plan is security is set up.

STEPS

---------

  1. Responsibility = Quality (QA)

       Navigation = Setup-> User Groups

  2.  Create parent and child relation ship collection plans for various plan types.

PORTAL CHILD PL, PORTAL PARENT CP, PARENT PLAN , CHILD PLAN  PLAN

  3. Define relationship between plans.

  4. Create user group SR QA GROUP1
  5. Add only parent plans via Grant Privilages
  6.  Set profile QA: Collection Plan Security = Yes

  7. Verified that user is able to access only the plans that have access at "Change Plan", "Enter Results", "View Results", "Update Results"

     and "Delete Results"
