ADHOC Roles Created When Notifying Web Suppliers During Approvals Do Not Have Expiration Date (Doc ID 2763008.1)

Last updated on MARCH 23, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Purchasing - Version 12.1.3 to 12.2.6 [Release 12.1 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When having Web Suppliers users enabled in iSupplier that are notified during approvals, adhoc role is created containing a list of all the supplier users within one adhoc approver.

The created adhoc role does not have an Expiration Date set upon creation which will contribute to growth of wf directory services table(s) eventually affecting performance.

That will require consistently having to purge wf_roles of adhoc users created from time to time like described in:

<Note 373675.1> How to Purge Adhoc Roles?
 <Note 1454205.1> How To Reduce The Size Of Tables WF_LOCAL_ROLES, WF_LOCAL_USER_ROLES, And WF_USER_ROLE_ASSIGNMENTS ?
