Oracle Web ADI Erroring During Template Upload: Unable to get property 'parentWindow' of undefined or null reference (Doc ID 2763022.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to upload journal entries via Web Application Desktop Integrator (WebADI), the following error occurs.

Steps to recreate the issue:
1) Create a new template.
2) Enter data into the template.
3) Submit the template upload via the Add-In  -> Oracle -> Upload menu.
4) The error is seen.

This is occurring for some users and not all.
Excel Add-in's Foxit and ADFDI are not installed on the computers of the users seeing the issue.
Excel has been re-installed on these computers and the issue remains.

Internet Explorer (IE) version 11 is being used.
