As per release notes Doc ID 2108155.1, we find that one of the new features incorporated into version 1.4.3 is "Generate sound for messages that need your attention; this feature is available only for the Android app users".

While it is a good feature to have, while testing we found the alarm sound to be too long (the sound gets repeated three times when just one beep is enough to catch the attention of the user) and can be annoying to the user. We have received feedback to know if it is possible to: 1) turn it off optionally 2) to change the sound to something shorter.

Because it is a recent addition, I could not find any other documentation on how to control it.

E.g: Use MSCA mobile app version 1.4.3 or above, and perform a transaction such as miscellaneous receipt. Enter an invalid value in a validated field such as item number, subinventory or locator. Three loud alarm tones are sounded.
