Count Approval and Physical Inventory Adjustments Forms Fail With "APP-FND-01238: Cannot set value for field" Error In When READ_ONLY=Yes (Doc ID 2765421.1)

Symptoms

An attempt s being made to use the the Cycle Counts Approval form and
Physical Inventory Adjustments form in read only mode but a similar error
is being encountered for each.

Physical Inventory Adjustments form shows:
    APP-FND-01238: Cannot set value for field adjustments.item_description

Cycle Count Approvals form shows:
    APP-FND-01238: Cannot set value for CC_APPROVE_COUNTS.ITEM_DESCRIPTION

 

Steps

  1. Create new function for the Physical Inventory Adjustments form and Cycle Count Approval form and set READ_ONLY=YES.
  2. Query in each read only form and receive the error.
