Unable to Update Date Closed On The Service Request HTML UI (Doc ID 2768942.1)

Symptoms

Users are unable to update the date closed field on a service request to a date prior to the current sysdate.
The prior date can be selected from the LOV, but when the record is saved the date reverts to the previously entered closed date.
