Weblogic Server Not Starting using adadminsrvctl.sh During Application Upgrade (Doc ID 2770413.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 to 12.2.9 version, Weblogic Server

During upgrade 12.1.3 to 12.2 , before applying TXK patches
Weblogic service needs to be started on RUN Filesystem
the following error occurs.

 

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. As per upgrade guide during 12.1.3 to 12.2 upgrade
  2. Online enablement patching completed.
  3. Before applying latest TXK Patches weblogic services should be started on RUS filesystem.
  4. Executed adadminsrvctl.sh after sourcing Apps environment. 




BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, upgrade could not be completed with in milestone.
