Order Management Defaulting Rules For "Earliest Acceptable Date" Attribute Not Working As Expected

Symptoms
On : 12.2.9 version, Transaction Entry
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
Observe that sales order line has "Earliest Acceptable Date" as blank even after Schedule Ship Date has a value.
Defaulting Rule for Earliest Acceptable date attribute is defined with Defaulting Condition as 'Always" and SourceTypes with "Same as Record" Value, and the Schedule Ship Date defined in system to default at the sales order line. But the Defaulting Rule defined in the system is not defaulting as expected.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Earliest Acceptable Date field should populate on the sales order line
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility : Oracle Order Management
2. Enter order > schedule order line > Book
BUSINESS IMPACT
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot obtain earliest acceptable date
