How do the dates get set in Scheduled Start Date and End Date of Non-Routine Work Order?

In product version 12.2.9, it looks  the Work order Start/end dates are set based on Visit Scheduled Start Date and End Date.
In the previous version (12.1.2), the Scheduled Start Date was calculated as the creation date of the Non-Routine Work Order, and the Scheduled End Date was calculated as the Start Date by accumulating the operations associated with the Work Order.
Did the logic for setting the date change?
