Goal

The goal of this article is to specify the setup steps in order to be able to use the Interface Data Transformer.


New Responsibility: Interface Data Transformer Super Use

New Concurrent programs:GL Interface Data Transformer program GCS_IDT_GL

Modified Oracle Forms:Journal Import Correct Form GLXJICOR (115.1)

New Oracle Application Framework pages:
1. The Transformation Rule Set Search page allows you to search for Transformation Rule Sets by name, table structure and enabled status - ?    GCSLEXMAPSEARCH
2. The Create Rule Set Header page allows you to enter information for the Transformation Rule Set, such as name and enabled status - GCSLEXMAPRULESETHEADER
3. The Create Rule Set Details page allows you to build more of the Transformation Rule Set by specifying stages, rules, and derivation sequences - GCSLEXMAPRULESETDETAILS
4. The Create Rule page allows you to specify the target column for the Rule and any validations to be applied to the results of the Rule application - GCSLEXMAPRULEHEADER
5. The Create Derivation Sequence page allows you to specify derivation actions for the Rule -GCSLEXMAPRULEDETAILS
6. The Create String Function Derivation page is where you enter conditions and select a string function action - GCSLEXMAPDERIVATION
7. The Create String Function Details page is where you enter the details for string function action - GCSLEXMAPSTRINGFUNC
8. The Create PL/SQL Function Derivation page is where you enter conditions and select a PL/SQL function - GCSLEXMAPDERIVATION
9. The Create Lookup Table Derivation page is where you enter conditions, select a lookup table and a results column from the lookup table and enter matches for interface table columns -GCSLEXMAPDERIVATION
10. The Reorder Stages page allows you to reorder Stages in the Transformation Rule Set - GCSLEXMAPSTAGEREORDER

Several new PL/SQL files
1. GCS_LEX_MAP_API_PKG is the Interface Data Transformer (IDT) processing package.
2. GCS_LEX_MAP_STRUCTS_PKG is used by gcslxmta.lct to upload IDT Structure meta-data to the database.
3. GCS_LEX_MAP_COLUMNS_PKG is used by gcslxmta.lct to upload IDT Column meta-data to the data
4. GCS_LEX_MAP_GL_APPLY_PKG contains the procedure used for the GL concurrent program that runs IDT on the gl_interface table.base.
5. GCS_LEX_MAP_PKG contains a procedure to get a text string representing the condition for a particular derivation.
