Symptoms

On : 12.2.4 version, Auction/RFx creation


When collaboration team member send messages to buyer, the message got stuck in workflow mailer with error.

Error Message [WF_ERROR] ERROR_MESSAGE=3835: Error '-20002 - ORA-20002: 2018: Unable to generate the notification XML. Caused by: 2020: Error when getting notification content. Caused by: ORA-20002: 3240: Error '-6502 - ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small ' in 'PLSQLCLOB' API 'PON_AUCTION_PKG.GET_DISCUSSION_MESG_BODY' Wf_Notification.GetAttrClob(6593699, DISCUSSION_MESSAGE_BODY, text/html) Wf_Notification.oldGetAttrClob(6593699, DISCUSSION_MESSAGE_BODY, text/html) WF_NOTIFICATION.GetFullBody(nid => 6593699, disptype => text/h' encountered during execution of Generate function 'WF_XML.Generate' for event 'oracle.apps.wf.notification.send'. STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Sourcing Super user (collaboration team member)
2. collaboration team member send a message to buyer
3. Message gets stuck with the above error

 

NOTE :This error happens only in when the characters are in Japanese language.
