Error in Charges Line : The Item Is Serial Controlled. The Serial Number Xxxxx Entered Is Invalid Or Does Not Exist (Doc ID 2781966.1)

On : 12.1.3 version, Support Codes

Create SR Charge line with parent serial number populated in Item Instance Tab. When sales order is generated and processed, it fails in Install Base interface with the following error.

 "The Item is serial controlled. The Serial number xxxxx entered is invalid or does not exist in Inventory tables or the "MFG_SERIAL_NUMBER_FLAG" in the Installed Base is "NULL" for Serialized Item Instances."


1) Login to E-Business Suite Applications using above details:
2) Navigate  to   Service  resp
3) Navigate  to Service  request-->Create  service  request
4) Created  SR  
5) Created  charge line  and  submit charge line
6) Error in Install Base interface.
