FSG And Trial Balance Standard Reports Do Not Honor Security Rules When Run for Non-Secured Pagebreak-Segment (Doc ID 2783535.1)

Last updated on JUNE 14, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Financial Statements Generator - FSG
Trail Balance Reports

Symptoms

FSG and Standard Reports are generating output without considering the Security Rules.

EXAMPLE:

Company Segment (Segment1) secured with Security Rules. Running the Reports using Pagebreak Segment 'Company' works fine. However if the Pagebreak Segment is entered as any other segment than the secured one, all Companies are retrieved in the output and calculations, ignoring the Security Rules defined in the system for this segment.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
Expected for Security Rules to apply to standard reports and FSG disregarding the Pagebreak Segment selected when submitting them.

STEPS:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. GL Responsibility > Define Security Rules for certain segment per (Doc ID 1078004.6)
2. Assign the Security Rule(s) to GL Responsibility
3. Run Trial Balance or FSG reports using Pagebreak Segment other than the secured segment
4. Observe that the output ignores the Security Rules defined in step1

Changes

New Security Rules defined in the system
