WebADI: Unable To Download Template - Either Does Not Happen At All (Error: Your Document Could Not Be Created) Or It Is Created As Blank (Doc ID 2784845.1)

WebADI: Web Applications Desktop Integrator


After upgrading to 12.2.9 and applying the JAN 2021 CPU patches, users are unable to create WebADI templates.
Based on the profile setting for BNE: Enable OOXML Standard:

    - when this is set to Yes then users encounter a 'Your document cannot be created' message
    - when this is set to No  users are able to create the template but it is blank (empty)

Expect to create the document successfully without errors.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. (N) Desktop Integrator Responsibility > Create Document
2. Select the desired integrator and layout, the click (B) Create Document.
3. Either the message above appears or the template is created blank.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users are unable to use WebADI to process transactions.
