Rounding Issue with FAS840: Cost Adjustment Report when Fractionally Multi Unit Distributed Asset is Cost Adjusted with Minimum Net Change in Total Cost of the Asset. (Doc ID 2790227.1)

Symptoms


ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Total adjustment amount is not the same for the period between Cost Adjustment Report and Cost Detail Report (FASCOSTD) when an asset is fractionally multi unit distributed with decimal units. There is a rounding error with Cost Adjustment Report adjustment amount for the asset.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps through Fixed Assets Responsibility:


1/ Create an asset with one unit and allocate the asset to more than 5 distributions fractionally

    FA > Assets > Assets Workbench form

2/ Adjust the asset through Mass Additions with multiple amount including amounts <1.00

    FA > Mass Additions.

3/ Post the Adjustment to the asset created

 
     FA > Mass Additions > Post Mass Additions

4/ Run Create Accounting for the book

      FA > Other > Request > Run > Create Accounting - Asset

5/ Run the Cost Adjustment and Cost Detail report to confirm the adjustment amount for the period.
